In contrast to the sophisticated workmanship of the shirts and blouses, there is an interplay of formal severity and casualness, of boldness and restraint. The Marlena Frank label was founded in Würzburg in 2021 out of a deep enthusiasm for silk shirts. The sample pieces are made in ateliers in Germany. In Szczecin, the production of small editions is done by hand. Thus, this is in the tradition of classic tailoring, but is broken by modern variations of the cut and by the playfulness, the delicate flow of the fabrics of silk and silk-cotton blends.
